Music and repair workshops join climate talks for a free day out
Envirolution started in Manchester back in 2009. It has made an inspirational impact on local communities along the way, empowering people to take environmental action. The free one-day event is making its third visit to Aberdeen this September, featuring live music, up-cycle workshops, storytelling and community climate talks.
There are no dull lecture here. Envirolution is about taking positive action - pick up a new repair skill or chat to a local sustainability group. You can watch talks if that interests you, or skip if it doesn’t. The idea is that small practical changes add-up, and it’s way easier than you think. A day in the park with the community, enjoying good music and tasty food is an awesome way to spread the word.
Stalls come from local groups and small sustainable businesses, alongside ethical food and drink vendors from around the region. You can expect new additions to Envirolution this year, alongside returning favourites.
If you’re interested in taking part, the event runs on volunteer support, both in the planning stages and on the day. You can get in touch with organisers NESCAN if you’re up for it. This is a great opportunity to pick up new skills and chat to visitors about sustainability and climate change.
Envirolution is a free to attend, fun day out for the whole family. It’s inclusive and open to all.
