About POST

Showcasing local artists, events, and cultural developments, and fostering connections in Aberdeen's arts scene.

Welcome to POST, where we celebrate and support the wealth of creativity in Aberdeen. From theatre productions to local music and visual art, we focus on showcasing the city's diverse artistic talent, helping these creative voices find their audience.

At the heart of POST is a belief that creativity is essential to both the city and the community. We're committed to providing a platform for artists, particularly those who are underrepresented, to share their work. Whether through written features, event coverage, or artist profiles, we strive to make sure the work of local creatives is heard and seen.

Every article, event write-up, and feature reflects Aberdeen's cultural landscape. Art isn't just for entertainment-it's a powerful way to connect people, spark new ideas, and inspire change. POST is here to be part of that process, highlighting the stories that matter.

We've covered the campaign to save Aberdeen Arts Centre alongside the shows themselves, because the building is part of the story too. Same with the Belmont -venues don't stay open on their own, and when a campaign's trying to keep one alive, we cover it.

On our blog and through the newsletter, we shine a light on local creatives and businesses, offering a platform to share their stories. Our content covers everything from profiles of local artists to information on cultural events around the city. We're passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion within the arts, ensuring all voices have a space in the conversation.

Our social media channels keep you updated on everything happening in the city's creative scene. We post about upcoming events, highlight local artists, and share news from the community, giving a real-time snapshot of Aberdeen's cultural heartbeat.

We aim to foster discussion on cultural and community development. We use articles and social media to keep you connected and informed about Aberdeen's arts scene.

While we're partly self-funded, your support helps make everything we do possible. With a subscription of £3 per month or £30 per year, you help fund the content that keeps Aberdeen's arts scene alive and growing. We understand that not everyone can contribute financially. You can also help by sharing our posts or forwarding our newsletter to friends because it all makes a difference.
