Lorraine Silver’s “Lost Summer Love” was one of the most-played records at the Wigan Casino, the Wigan nightclub that became the home of Northern Soul in the 1970s and remains the scene’s most storied venue. Silver plays the Tivoli on 31 July alongside The Signatures, a ten-piece live band fronted by vocalist Freddy Gillmore.
Silver’s appearance in Aberdeen follows the release of Reimagined, a new album out on 15 May 2026, marking six decades of recording.
Sixty years in music
The Signatures have served as house band for the Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on BBC 6 Music and have backed a number of the original Northern Soul artists on tour, among them Tommy Hunt, Bobby Wilson, Dean Parrish, Sidney Barnes, Gloria Jones, and Eddie Holman. Silver is the latest to join them on stage.
The Aberdeen date is one of several tour stops Silver is making with the band following the album's release. Reimagined draws on six decades of material and is framed as a career retrospective rather than a conventional new record.
