The three empty floors of the former Debenhams store in the Trinity Centre could soon be turned into studio spaces. These levels would give space for easels, workbenches and other equipment that artists need.
The store has stayed empty since its closure. Outer Spaces plans to change this by offering the building to those who need a workspace. Outer Spaces links artists with vacant commercial properties across Scotland. This approach uses empty units while giving creative workers affordable space they would otherwise lack.
What’s on offer
The facility spans three floors and contains both open‐plan areas and smaller private rooms to suit different kinds of work. This layout meets varied needs, from large areas required for installations to smaller settings used for detailed studio projects.
The facility will operate seven days each week, Opening 9am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 9am to 5.30pm on Sundays. Lighting and electricity are covered in the price. On‐site parking can be used for £4.50 per day.

How to apply
Outer Spaces are asking potential tenants to submit your interest by Monday, September 14th. Viewings will be held from September 15th to September 17th. Their application asks for a brief summary of your work and an explanation of how you intend to use the space.
