Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks kicks off today, offering food lovers the chance to explore nearly 80 restaurants, cafes, and bars across the city. Running until Sunday, 9 March, the event showcases a range of cuisines, from Scottish classics to international delights like Latin American and Asian dishes. The initiative highlights the city’s culinary talent while giving a much-needed economic boost to local eateries.

Restaurant owners are already feeling the positive impact of Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks. Paparao N., manager of Nepalese restaurant 8848 on Union Street, shared his excitement: “Reservations are steadily coming in, and weekends are almost full. Our chef has prepared an appetising tasting menu for this round of Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks.”

Al Fresco Italian on Bon Accord Street is making the most of Aberdeen Restaurant Weeks. Owner Michael Pergl shared, “This event always delivers, bringing new guests who often become regulars.”

Special Menus and Events

Diners can enjoy fantastic deals ranging from £5 to £30, including lunch specials, tasting menus, and unique experiences. Highlights include Dough & Co’s doughnut-dunking workshop and Mackie’s 19.2 Ice Cream Parlour’s interactive Sundae School. The ever-popular Secret Suppers are back too, offering diners a surprise location and menu for an unforgettable evening—though these sold out within hours of going on sale.

The Foodie Passport also returns, encouraging diners to visit four different restaurants for a chance to win a £500 Aberdeen Gift Card.
