Jane McCarry and Mark Cox bring Still Game stories to Aberdeen for one night only

Mark Cox and Jane McCarry, better known as Tam and Isa from Still Game, are headed to the Granite this September for a night of stories, laughs and crowd chat.

They’ll be at Aberdeen Arts Centre on Saturday 6 September with An Evening with Still Game’s Mark & Jane, a touring show built on memories from their years in Craiglang. It’s part nostalgic throwback, part off-the-cuff chat, as they step out from behind their characters to talk openly about the show and the years around it.

The show’s done, but the stories aren’t

Still Game aired its final episode in 2019, but the characters have stuck with viewers. It’s one of the few Scottish sitcoms to find fans worldwide, and Tam and Isa seem to follow Mark and Jane wherever they go.

People still seem drawn to these characters in a way that goes beyond nostalgia. For many, the show was woven into everyday life. Seeing them live offers something different: the chance to hear what it was actually like behind the scenes.

Mark and Jane on tour

“The fans come loaded with great questions,” says Mark. “We can’t wait to meet the lovely people of Aberdeen.”

Jane, whose other roles include Rab C Nesbitt and children’s series Me Too!, says the tour has been a joy to do. “Still Game played such a huge role in our lives. To share stories and secrets from our time on the show with so many fans is really humbling.”

There’s also a VIP option for anyone keen to meet them in person, including a photo and signing. But the heart of the night is the conversation itself. It’ll be funny, reflective and a bit more personal than your usual TV nostalgia trip. You can book tickets online at Aberdeen Arts Centre.
