Tall Ships and Market Stalls Take Over Aberdeen Harbour
Curated On The Quayside brings together makers, artists, charities and new audiences.

Next to towering masts and international crews, dozens of makers and small businesses from across the north-east will line Aberdeen Harbour this July as Curated On The Quayside takes over part of the Tall Ships Races.
Running from 19 to 22 July, the open-air market brings more than 70 stalls to the Port of Aberdeen. Some of the names returning include Dough & Co, Cookie Cult and Doric Studio—firm favourites at Curated in the Quad with strong followings of their own. This time, they’ll be setting up shop alongside 50 tall ships and thousands of new visitors.

Join Open Road for a raft of Festival of the Sea events, including The Sea Salt Shore, an evening of sea songs, shanties and storytelling from Joss Camerin, steeped in coastal tradition.
There’s also plenty for families, including a rockpooling morning at Aberdeen beach with the Countryside Ranger and magical maritime tales from storyteller Andy Cannon.
From festive favourite to harbourfront showcase
The line-up was shaped by local charity Charlie House, who helped sift through hundreds of applications to create a mix that feels rooted in the city. The project fee supports their work with children and families facing life-limiting conditions.
“We were blown away by the response,” said CEO John Brebner. “The final line-up includes passionate small businesses, inspiring charities, and a brilliant mix of creatives. We can’t wait to see the harbour come to life.”
One stall will bring together two of the Tall Ships Makers Programme’s featured artists. Laura Sherrifs and Gabrielle Reith were invited to create new work inspired by the ships. Now they’re sharing a double space, selling handcrafted mobiles, jackets, and bags shaped by maritime stories, colours, and materials.

Gabrielle Reith’s Tall Ships-inspired mobiles and Dough & Co’s Belmont Street shop are just two familiar favourites making an appearance at Curated On The Quayside.
Small stalls, big crowds
Alongside makers and food producers, 18 charities will rotate through five shared stalls, giving each an opportunity to be part of the city-wide event. You don’t need a ticket—just a good excuse to wander along the harbour.
The market runs daily from 9am to 8pm (closing at 3.30pm on Tuesday). Whether you’re drawn in by the ships or stopping by for a browse, the harbour will be busy with things to see and people to meet.
