Twelve breweries descend on Union Street for Aberdeen’s second sold-out beer festival

💡
What: Northern Lights Beer Festival
When: Saturday 11 April 2026, 12.30pm–5pm and 6pm–10.30pm
Where: Music Hall
Tickets: Fierce Beer

Last year it was called the Aberdeen Beer Festival. It sold out. Fierce Beer took the feedback from attendees, expanded the lineup, and are back at the Music Hall this Saturday with 1,600 tickets sold across two sessions.

The bill includes Cloudwater, Northern Monk, Beak, Siren, Bullhouse, Holy Goat and Tartarus alongside Rivington, Emperors, Attic, Lost Cause, Elusive and hosts Fierce. A hot sauce maker is among the other vendors on the day.

What’s new this year

Visitors asked for food and a wider drinks range after last year’s event. Wine and cider will be available this time alongside the beer.

Craig Cargill, sales director at Fierce Beer, said the Music Hall location was a deliberate choice. “Surrounding hospitality businesses in particular spoke about the benefits of larger footfall caused by the festival last year. We’re sure we’ll hear the same again this year.”

Interest from further afield has grown noticeably this year, and plans for a 2027 edition are already in motion. For now, 1,600 people have a Saturday to look forward to.
