Amber Davies has spent the past few years moving between major West End productions. She originated Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby’s London run, played Vivian Ward in the Pretty Woman tour, stepped into Back to the Future as Lorraine Baines. Now she’s taking on Elle Woods when Legally Blonde The Musical comes to His Majesty’s Theatre next June.
It’s one of those roles that arrives with baggage. Everyone knows the pink, the bend and snap, the courtroom win. The challenge is making it feel specific rather than like a recreation of the film.

From Gatsby to Harvard Law
The production runs for five nights from 23 to 27 June 2026. It’s the West End and Broadway version of the show, based on the Reese Witherspoon film about a sorority president who follows her ex to Harvard Law School and discovers she’s actually good at being a lawyer.
Davies seems aware of what the role means. “As a huge fan of the film and the musical, this part is the role of a lifetime,” she said. “I am honoured to be stepping into Elle’s perfect heels.”
Audiences are in for a treat
Ben Torrie, Aberdeen Performing Arts’ director of programming, said Davies is “the perfect fit for this role” and that audiences are “in for a treat with this fantastic production.”
