The long-running showcase returns for 2026 with free entry and a Friday evening launch.
When: Friday 28 – Sunday 30 August 2026
Where: Aberdeen Music Hall
More Info: Aberdeen Art Fair
Now in its 14th year, Aberdeen Art Fair has settled into a format that sets it apart from most commercial art events: no admission fee, just a request for whatever donation visitors can manage. The organisers say it’s about keeping the event sustainable while removing barriers to attendance.
The fair brings together award-winning galleries and individual artists from across Scotland and the UK, with work spanning painting, sculpture, photography, art glass, ceramics and printmaking. Prices range from £30 to £7,000, which means there’s room for serious collectors and first-time buyers alike.
Launch night
The fair opens on Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm, with complimentary wine tasting courtesy of Aberdeen Local Wine School. It’s a good opportunity to see the work before the weekend crowds arrive.
Several artists will be showing in Aberdeen for the first time this year, with the full exhibitor list to be announced on the fair’s social media channels in the coming weeks.
What to expect
The Music Hall’s café and bar will be open throughout the weekend, and there’s a free wrapping service for anyone making a purchase. Given the central location and the lack of an entry fee, it’s an easy one to drop into even if you’re only passing through town.
