Cheaper costs means more of your subscription goes towards POST itself
Hey folks,
We just wanted to drop you a wee line to let you know that POST has moved house. We’ve changed where the website and newsletter are hosted, and if everything’s gone to plan, you shouldn’t notice a thing.
For the past few years we’ve run on Ghost, and stayed with Ghost’s own hosting the whole time. Ghost’s been a great host, but we were charged on subscriber numbers, and were closing in on a new pricing tier we couldn’t really afford. We’ve moved hosts to Magic Pages, who specialise in hosting Ghost and offer a more personal service. We also pay one flat price now, for the full Ghost feature set, without extra charges.
Everything should be unchanged for now, but if you spot anything odd on the site or in your inbox over the next few days, let us know.
POST stays free to read. We don’t put articles behind a paywall because we don’t think price should decide who gets to take part in Aberdeen’s arts and events scene. But keeping it running costs time and money too.
Upgrading from a free to a paid subscription helps cover those costs. It’s a small monthly amount, and it goes straight back into POST. You can upgrade here. Free subscribers get everything they already do. Paying subscribers make it possible for that to continue.
