Welcome to this year’s final edition of Your Aberdeen. We’re publishing early this month so we can include all the events heading your way at the end of the November through until Christmas. As the year winds down and the festive season sparkles on the horizon, we're here to keep you connected with all the cool things happening in our wonderful city.

In this edition, we’ll dive into the eclectic mix of events that continue to make Aberdeen a unique place to live and explore. We’ve tried to give you a balance of festive events and also spaces you can go to escape from the Christmas madness.

In the weeks ahead, SNUG at the Anatomy Rooms offers a cozy sanctuary for artistic exploration, while Curated at the Quad at Marischal College showcases local arts and crafts, perfect for unique holiday gifts. Chef The Rapper, JusHarry, CRPNTR, Josh McLean and more are on the line-up for HOURS unmissable Christmas Special at the Lemon Tree and Calum Bowie is back in Aberdeen for a live show at The Tunnels.

Marischal College

Marischal College Quadrangle transforms into a magical festive market with Curated in the Quad this Christmas. Over 50 north-east producers and creatives will showcase arts, crafts, clothing, unique homeware, and gourmet food and drink. Enjoy a new line-up of local talents each weekend leading up to Christmas.

More than a market; it's a major fundraiser for Charlie House and a perfect destination for exclusive gifts and a chance for you to support local businesses.

This new exhibition by Joyce Davies, a self-taught artist and former Consultant Clinical Child Psychologist, showcases 40 unique mono-prints. Joyce's art explores the physical body, health, and well-being, reflecting her journey through complex emotions and memories.

Her works, raw and authentic, invite you to interpret and connect with your own stories. The exhibition represents a powerful visual narrative of life's challenges and the therapeutic nature of art​

A Play, A Pie and A Pint - The Guns of Johnny Diablo

The Lemon Tree

This production, written by Philip Differ and directed by Shilpa T-Hyland, marks the 60th anniversary of 'A Fistful of Dollars.' It's a comical take on a spaghetti western script, featuring an old school actor, an ex-model, and a BAFTA-winning actress navigating their oversized egos and acting quirks.

Expect a laugh-filled farce with an unexpected twist on the classic western genre…as well as a cracking pie!

Legacies of Slavery - Transatlantic Slavery and Aberdeen

New Aberdeen Bestiary: The Cock

Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Abdulrazaq Awofeso creates art inspired by the cock, a symbol in his childhood memories. His pieces, born from his experiences in both Nigeria and Birmingham, delve into how this animal is seen in different cultures and religions.

The exhibition, formed during his residency at Peacock, blends personal stories with broader themes, offering an intriguing look at the connections between animals, our beliefs, and our lives.
