LEGO Event Returns to P&J Live After Selling Out Twice

Granite City hosts its third brick-building event on 22nd February 2026.

Life-size Mario is just one of the custom builds that turned up at previous events.

P&J Live usually hosts sold-out concerts for Michael Bublé and Elton John. Earlier this year, it packed out with LEGO enthusiasts instead. Now the event is coming back for a third year on 22nd February 2026.

For a city better known for its oil industry than geek culture, Aberdeen has developed an unexpectedly strong LEGO scene. The kind that can fill a major concert venue three years running.

An unlikely community

Nick Beevis organises National Brick Events across the UK. Aberdeen keeps surprising him. “The enthusiasm in Aberdeen is always incredible,” he says. “Every time we come back, it gets bigger and better.” It’s the sort of thing an event organiser might say about anywhere, but the numbers back it up. The venue keeps getting larger bookings, the crowds keep growing, and the demand keeps increasing.

What draws people in varies widely. Some come for retired sets that vanished from shops years ago. Others want to see custom builds by UK fans or hunt down specific minifigures from traders. Parents bring young kids who just want to play with bricks for an afternoon.

What you’ll actually find

The Build & Race Zone lets you design a car, build it, then race it against other people’s creations. Giant play pits mean younger visitors can jump in without worrying about breaking anything. You can spend hours examining intricate custom MOCs or mosaic building in a corner while your kids burn off energy.

This year’s event will take up more space again. More custom builds on display, more traders setting up, more activities to try. Tickets are available now.

For a venue that hosts international pop stars, filling it with LEGO fans three years in a row suggests Aberdeen’s brick-building community isn’t going anywhere.
