Henning Wehn brings Acid Wehn to the Tivoli next spring

A sharp, sideways look at everyday life from one of comedy’s driest voices.

Henning Wehn brings an outsider’s eye to the UK’s quirks

Henning Wehn doesn’t really do warm and fuzzy—but that’s kind of the point. With his signature deadpan delivery and a knack for poking holes in British habits, the self-styled “German Comedy Ambassador” is heading back to Aberdeen with a new show that takes on the biggest small talk topic of all: the weather. Or more specifically, climate change.

Acid Wehn lands at the Tivoli Theatre on Thursday 16 April 2026. The show promises Wehn’s usual blend of offbeat logic, sharp cultural commentary, and just enough silliness to catch you off guard. Whether he’s dissecting rainfall statistics or riffing on recycling habits, it’s not your average comedy club fodder—but that’s what fans have come to expect.

A regular on British panel shows

“It’s a big ‘Willkommen’ from us to the super funny Henning as we announce Aberdeen & Dundee shows on his latest hit stand-up tour,” says Doug Taylor from Mint of Montrose, who are behind the show. “His previous visits were such a laugh, we’re sure fans of a big laugh theatre night out will snap up tickets for his return!”

Wehn’s become a regular on British panel shows like Have I Got News For You and Would I Lie To You, bringing an outsider’s eye to the UK’s quirks, and leaning into the uneasy middle ground between sarcasm and sincerity. This new tour offers more of that skewed perspective, now pointed at a topic oddly ripe for laughs, if you don’t mind a bit of existential dread on the side.

A big night out in a great venue

The setting’s worth noting too. With its roots in variety theatre and a stage once graced by Charlie Chaplin, the Tivoli remains a fitting home for comedy that doesn’t play it safe. Tickets for Henning Wehn’s Acid Wehn are on sale now from Aberdeen Box Office.
