Experimental Folk Artist P.G. Six to Play Aberdeen for the First Time
Aberdeen’s creative hub, The Anatomy Rooms, will welcome P.G. Six for a live performance later this month.
Renowned folk musician Pat Gubler, better known as P.G. Six, will perform his first-ever Aberdeen gig at The Anatomy Rooms on Sunday, 13th October. Known for his unique blend of 60s British folk, country rock, and experimental music, the New Yorker has been a significant figure in the music scene since the mid-90s.
He'll be supported by local favourites Kitchen Cynics and Margery Daw in this one-off, free-entry show. Donations will be welcomed at the door to support the event, which starts at 7:30 pm.
P.G. Six: A Journey Through Sound
P.G. Six’s career began with The Tower Recordings in 1994, a group that became known for their genre-defying music. As a solo artist, Pat Gubler released his first album in 2001, with five more to follow, including his most recent, Murmurs & Whispers, which has been widely praised.
His music is a captivating blend of influences, ranging from British folk to experimental soundscapes, offering something unique to every listener. Having played alongside artists like Slint and Yo La Tengo, P.G. Six has carved out a distinct space in the musical landscape.
