Curious Seed brings award-winning dance show to the Lemon Tree

The Lemon Tree in Aberdeen is getting ready for a special show that you won’t want to miss. For one night only, on Friday, March 29, the award-winning dance theatre company Curious Seed will perform ‘And the Birds Did Sing.’

Right after the show, there’s going to be a ‘Staying On’ event with three amazing local artists. You’ll get to hear from rapper and writer Jack Hughes, also known as Jackill, spoken word artist Jo Gilbert, and dance artist Laura Booth. They’ll share poems, stories, music, and songs.

‘And the Birds Did Sing’ is a powerful dance show that tells a story with movement, music, and words. It’s about the memories of growing up, life and love, and the mix of happy and sad moments. Christine Devaney, the person behind this show, along with musician Luke Sutherland and artist Yvonne Buskie, will take you on a touching journey.

Staying On for local talent

After the show, stick around for the ‘Staying On’ session. It’s a fun get-together where local talents will share their art. It’s all about celebrating the creative spirit of Aberdeen.

You’ll meet Jackill, who’s been a big part of the Scottish Hip-Hop scene for over ten years. Jo Gilbert, whose words and poems have touched many, and Laura Booth, who brings dance into the lives of many different people.
