A musical reimagining of Shakespeare’s classic featuring hits by Max Martin, following as Juliet embarks on a journey of self-discovery.
This February, His Majesty’s Theatre will host the sensational musical & Juliet, bringing together pop superstars Lee Latchford-Evans of Steps and Jay McGuiness of The Wanted in a production that’s set to offer a fresh, fun twist on the classic Romeo and Juliet story. Running from February 4–8, the show takes a bold approach to the legendary tale by imagining what would happen if Juliet didn’t end it all over Romeo.
In & Juliet, the title character embarks on a new journey of love and self-discovery, with a script written by Emmy-winning Schitt’s Creek writer David West Read. The story is brought to life with a soundtrack featuring iconic pop anthems like Britney Spears’ …Baby One More Time, Katy Perry’s Roar, and other chart-toppers from Max Martin. It’s an exhilarating mix of musical theatre and pop nostalgia, guaranteed to lift your spirits and make you want to dance.
Lee Latchford-Evans, best known for his role in the ’90s pop group Steps, brings his stage experience to the Lance role, alongside Jay McGuiness, who plays Shakespeare himself. Jay’s impressive career includes a stint as a Strictly Come Dancing champion and a successful run with The Wanted.
