What’s on in March
New Aberdeen Bestiary: The Unicorn
Until Sat 27 Apr
The Worm Gallery
"The Unicorn" is the last show in the New Aberdeen Bestiary series, showing all month. This special exhibition comes from a long-time team-up between artist Sadie Main and printmaker Jonathan Comerford. They started working together back in the 1980s.
Sadie usually likes drawing real animals, but she makes an exception for unicorns because of her Scottish heritage. The artwork is full of bright colours and shiny gold and silver, with layers of drawings that give a nod to the traditional unicorn but with a modern twist.
By choosing the unicorn, Sadie and Jonathan show their love for freedom and creativity, stepping away from the ordinary to imagine a world filled with wonder.
