Aberdeen DJ Dylan McPhee Drops New Track Inspired by Club Classics
A nod to the high-energy club sound of the 2010s

Aberdeen DJ and producer Dylan McPhee is set to release his latest single, You Didn’t Think, this Friday. The release is a nod to the high-energy club sound of the 2010s, blending uplifting piano house beats with a vocal drone that ties it all together. Designed to bridge the gap between commercial radio and the dancefloor, it’s a feel-good anthem with wide appeal.

“The inspiration behind it was very much that 2013/14 club sound—high energy with a vocal drone carrying the track,” Dylan explained. “To help find that final sound, I worked with my friend and fellow DJ and producer, Ronnie Pacitti.”

This isn’t just a standalone release; it reflects a breakout year for McPhee. Having performed alongside acts like Sonny Fodera and Jazzy at SWG3’s sold-out Galvanizers, and sharing the stage with D.O.D in Edinburgh and Aberdeen, McPhee is making waves far beyond his hometown. Earlier this year, he also made his festival debut in Aberdeen, performing with the Ibiza Orchestra—an experience he describes as unforgettable.

2025 promises to be another big year

McPhee’s recent releases have gained traction, with support from major names like R3HAB on his radio show. His blend of uplifting beats and melodic hooks resonates with industry leaders and dance music fans.

Looking ahead, 2025 promises to be another big year. With new music already in the pipeline and confirmed bookings, including a spot at the upcoming dance weekend, Granite City Festival, Dylan is showing no signs of slowing down. His ability to balance a nostalgic sound with fresh production keeps him at the forefront of the evolving dance scene.
