A Fresh Brew with a Purpose Comes to Westburn Park

A lovely new coffee spot has arrived in Aberdeen's Westburn Park, bringing with it a fresh twist to your morning brew. Clan Cancer Support has launched The Coffee Box, a coffee shop housed in a refurbished horsebox, serving up delicious drinks and treats to raise funds for their vital work in the community.

Open daily from 8 am to 2 pm, the coffee shop is situated near Clan House on Westburn Road. It offers an array of hot drinks made with locally roasted coffee from LongWalk Coffee and snacks like doughnuts from Dough and Co on Belmont Street. With all profits going directly to Clan Cancer Support, every purchase helps fund the charity's services for those affected by cancer.

The idea for The Coffee Box came from feedback from Clan’s accommodation residents and local community market research, which revealed a desire for a coffee shop within the park. Teresa Bremner, Clan’s commercial manager, shared her excitement about the new venture, stating, “The launch of The Coffee Box at Westburn Park marks an exciting milestone in Clan’s journey to deliver long term sustainable income to support our services and we are so pleased to be open for business and serving quality products in our local area.”

The horsebox itself was donated and refurbished thanks to the generosity of local businesses. Volunteers from Bilfinger UK transformed the unit into a fully functional coffee shop, complete with a professional coffee machine, fridge, and water supply. Local service providers contributed to plumbing and electrical work, helping to bring the project to life.
