Speakin' Wierd presents an exciting event this month, the Loud Poets: Poetry Slam North Heat. Breaking away from the usual Speakin' Weird format, Loud Poets has organised a slam that promises to be a highlight of the poetry scene in Aberdeen. The event will take place on the 17 June at Spin.
If you're a poet eager to showcase your talent, it's your chance to step onto the stage and share your poetic voice with an enthusiastic audience. The winner of the Poetry Slam North Heat will advance to the prestigious Scottish final. Taking place in August at the renowned Edinburgh International Book Festival, the Scottish final will bring together the best slam poets from across the country.
The ultimate prize awaiting the winner is an impressive £3000. A testament to the significance and recognition of their poetic prowess.
The night will feature the brilliant poet Tyrone Lewis. Known for his captivating performances and compelling words, Tyrone leaves a lasting impression with his poetic artistry.
